Become a Host

These meetings are designed to gather organisations on a regular basis  to discuss topical issues in an informal setting facilitated by the independent Biometrics Institute. Member meetings are currently being held in Australia (quarterly in Canberra and Sydney, bi-annually in  Brisbane and Melbourne), New Zealand (quarterly in Wellington), Singapore (bi-annually) and Europe (quarterly in London).

The meetings are approximately 2 hours long and consist of 1-2 speakers presenting on a topic of their choice followed by group discussion. Being a host is a great way for raise your company profile and should you not wish to make a presentation, still a great way to be involved in the meetings.

Requirements:

Hosts provide their facilities for the duration of the meeting free of charge and we ask that a room be allocated with room for approximately 15-30 people. Should you have a limit on your room size we are happy to discuss the maximum numbers allowed and limit numbers.

Some hosts like to offer water, tea or coffee and a light refreshment but this is up to the hosting organisation.

Government agencies, universities and supplier organisations have all previously hosted meetings.

Biometrics Institute Site Visits

The Biometrics Institute along with its members can on occassion organise Site Visits and Tours of technologies in situ. Should you be thinking of hosting a site visit please contact us to discuss your individual needs on member@biometricsinstitute.org .

Due to the nature of these meetings where detailed information about the processes, implementation and production of products may be discussed, competitive confidentiality may limit some organisations from attending at times. The organisation negotiating the tour shall have final say on who they deem a competitor in this space.
