Arron Baker, Chairman & Director, Biometrics Institute Arron is a Senior Manager with Immigration New Zealand, Ministry of Business, Employment & Innovation. Arron was appointed to the Board on the 6 August 2009 to fill a vacant position. He was officially elected to the Board at the AGM on the 6 November 2009 and most recently re-elected to the Board at the AGM on the 29 November 2011 when he was also appointed Deputy Chairman. He was appointed Chairman on the 26 November 2012. Arron has extensive international experience including government postings with INZ to North Asia and, most recently, Regional Director - Asia / Middle East based in Singapore. Arron is also Co-Chair of the Data Sharing Working Group of the Five Country Conference (FCC) involving Immigration and border agencies from the United Kingdom, Canada, United States, Australia and New Zealand. Kevin Darch BBus(Hons) GDip(Film&TV) ADA C.Photo, Deputy Chairman & Director, Biometrics Institute Kevin is the Senior Sergeant, Visual Identification, Forensic Services Branch at the Queensland Police. He is police photographer with 40 years’ experience including crime scene photography, Disaster Victim Identification, Law enforcement Video, Computer Facial Identification Techniques, Age Progression and Regression, Face Recognition, Spheron and invisible spectrum imaging. He was elected to the Board at the AGM on 31 October 2008 and re-elected to the Board most recently at the AGM on the 26 November 2012 when he was also appointed Deputy Chairman. Kevin is based in Brisbane, Australia. He is a "User Member" representative. |

Paul Cross, Director, Biometrics Institute Paul is Assistant Secretary - Identity Branch, Risk Fraud and Integrity Division at the Department of Immigration and Citizenship. He was appointed to the Board to fill a vacant position on the 3 June 2011 and officially elected to the Board at the AGM on the 29 November 2011. Paul is based in Canberra, Australia. Terry Hartmann BSc PhD, Director, Biometrics Institute Terry is Vice President for Unisys Security Solutions worldwide. He was appointed to the Board on the 23 Oct 2003, re-elected at the AGM on the 16 Nov 2007, at the AGM on the 6 November 2009 and most recently re-elected at the AGM on the 29 November 2011. Terry Hartmann is Terry has 30 years experience in the IT industry and is an internationally recognised authority in the identification and biometrics industry. Terry continues to play a role in the development of biometrics standards for positive-identification as a technical expert to the International Standards Organisation (ISO) on biometrics specializing in facial recognition, and he was the author for the ISO Facial Image Standard 19794-5. Prior to joining Unisys, Terry was responsible for leading-edge research and development, strategic planning and implementation of business process transformation in his role as IT Manager for the Australian Passport Office. He played a key role in establishing the Australian public sector as a world leader in identity technology. Terry is based in Washington, USA. He is a "Supplier Member" representative. |

Brett Feldon, Director, Biometrics Institute Brett is the Chief Technology Officer at Salmat Speech Solutions, responsible for all technology and product aspects of Salmat’s voice biometric business. Previously he has worked in the UK as Salmat’s General Manager in EMEA, and has a long history in both the representation and engineering of voice biometrics solutions across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the US for both government and private sector users. He was elected to the board at the AGM on 29 November 2011. Brett is based in Sydney, Australia. He is a “Supplier Member” representative. |

Jim Loudermilk, Director, Biometrics Institute Jim is also the Senior Level Technologist, Science and Technology Branch, FBI. He was appointed to the Board on the 4 March 2013 to fill a vacant position. He is the Department of Justice representative on the National Science and Technology Council’s Subcommittee on Biometrics and Identity Management, which he co-chairs . He represents the FBI on the Identity Intelligence Board of Directors. Jim is based in Washington DC, USA. He is a "User Member" representative. |

David Philp, Director, Biometrics Institute David is also the General Manager, Identity and Data Services, Department of Internal Affairs Te Tari Taiwhenua (New Zealand). He was appointed to the Board on the 4 March 2013 to fill a vacant position. David has been in his current role since 1997. He is responsible for the delivery of New Zealand Passport services both nationally and internationally. During his tenure David has been responsible for New Zealand’s development and deployment of a chip-based e-Passport, the introduction of online checking of passport entitlement through the Citizenship and Birth, Death and Marriages registries and the use of facial recognition technology in passport fraud detection. David is based in Wellington, New Zealand. He is a "User Member" representative. |

Andrew Rice, Director, Biometrics Institute Andrew is also the Assistant Secretary Cyber and Identity Security Branch, Attorney Generals Department (Australia). He was appointed to the Board on the 4 March 2013 to fill a vacant position. Andrew Rice is responsible for development of national policy relating to Identity Security and for implementation of the Document Verification Service. Andrew is also responsible for the cyber security aspects of critical infrastructure resilience. Andrew is based in Canberra, Australia. He is a "User Member" representative. |

Greg Henwood, Director, Biometrics Institute Greg is also the OASys-R Project Director, NOMIS Programme National Offender Management Service (NOMS), Ministry of Justice (UK). Greg has 22 years in the IT arena and is a seasoned campaigner for the secure use of biometrics in the industry. He has worked in both the private sector and the public sector with recent positions at the United Kingdom Border Agency, Gatwick Airport and the Ministry of Justice. He was appointed to the Board on the 4 March 2013 to fill a vacant position. Greg is based in London, UK. He is a "User Member" representative. |
