About the event:
The Biometrics Institute Congress is our flagship annual event which attracts experts and leaders in biometrics from our global multi-stakeholder community. This year, our 7th annual Congress will take place online, comprising eight sessions over four days in October.
It’s been a busy 12 months for biometrics since our last Congress and the eight sessions of our 2020 event have been carefully curated to reflect ongoing issues and new and emerging challenges.
This year’s Congress will include outstanding keynote speakers, thought-provoking panel discussions, interactive sessions where you can have your say, a lively chatroom and a virtual exhibition where our supplier community will showcase their products and services.
Some things change, but others stay the same. As always, the 2020 Biometrics Institute Congress will be a place to gather, network and exchange thoughts and ideas on the present and future of biometrics with a diverse range of experts.

A unique, collaborative experience:
Our online meetings are a bit different to others you may have joined. We’re fortunate to have a fantastic community of members and other contacts who know and trust each other. This translates into our chatrooms being really interactive with our speakers, panellists and delegates asking and answering questions and sharing high-quality information.
We’ve trialled a few different options during lockdown and have opted to hold this year’s Congress on Webex, which offers us great functionality and you great tools to interact with each other.
A trusted platform:
These sessions will be run under Chatham House Rule as usual. This off-the-record discussion facilitates an honest and authentic dialogue between our speakers and delegates.
A diverse audience:
Our trusted multi-stakeholder community comes from government, regulators, the air industry, policing, banking, retail, international organisations like the United Nations, academia and from the biometrics industry.

Many thanks to our already confirmed sponsors IDEMIA, Thales, IProov, WorldReach, Innovatrics and SITA. We look forward to welcoming more valued supplier members as partners for this event.
