The next edition of the Biometrics Institute’s Concepts and Solutions Report is a special one! It will celebrate our Silver Jubilee and is entitled “Biometrics – Keeping it Real”. It focusses on the role of biometrics in verifying who’s real: how to secure systems, prove presence, remove friction and prevent fraud. Biometrics Institute members are invited to make a submission to this important report before the 6 February 2026 submission deadline.
Our last four editions of this report (COVID-19: Effective and responsible biometrics solutions and concepts in a time of pandemic – building a resilient response , COVID-19: Effective and responsible biometrics solutions and concepts – one year into the pandemic, Biometrics and digital identity solutions, and The future of responsible biometrics) have been downloaded over 25,000 times.
Biometrics now affect almost every aspect of our lives. Fraud, data breaches, and deepfakes are on the rise. How does the whole ecosystem prove who’s real? Biometrics add a layer of security, but the public demands transparency to ensure impartiality and that its use is strictly defined and controlled. That’s why we are focusing on this theme for the 2026 report and we would like you to be part of it.
The submissions should be thought-leadership pieces that provide insights, lessons learnt, and tested, available solutions that address the use of ethical biometrics now and in the future.
These expert reports will be compiled into a document that we can share with our members, an extensive wider network (including non-members), as well as on our social media channels.
The Biometrics Institute represents over 200 member organisations from more than 43 countries around the world with a network that is close to 1,000 individuals, many of them experts in their respective fields and key decision-makers in government and the private sector.
If you would like to promote a specific product or service, we are also offering the opportunity to place an advert at the end of the report or alongside your submitted paper.
It is important to note that we are only accepting report submissions which address critical questions you and your clients are facing currently. The report will be an educational piece, and your submission needs to explain how any available solution is effective for the future of responsible biometrics, perhaps drawing on case study examples. The papers you send are not a place for product advertising and such submissions will not be included.
