Engaging and educational events
The Institute has run hundreds of events over the past 21 years to facilitate the important dialogue on responsible, ethical and effective use. These events attract a highly-engaged audience from across the globe and include users, suppliers and thought leaders. And when the brightest minds from industry, government and academia gather to discuss biometrics, networking and information sharing is a given.
This includes an annual conference in Australia, Europe, UK and USA as well as regular workshops on specific topics such as technology or privacy and our popular Member Meetings, now also in an online format.
These meetings are free for our members. Held throughout the year, they address topical issues faced by the industry.
Conferences and Exhibitions
These are currently held in Australia, the US, Europe and the UK, offering in-depth coverage of the most pertinent industry topics. At these conferences, representatives of organisations interested in biometrics gain insight from leading practitioners and have the opportunity to connect with our international multi-stakeholder community. Members also receive substantial discounts on registration fees.
Events sponsorship is reserved for Institute members. And because we have a large stakeholder community comprising end users from government and commercial sectors, sponsors receive strong support from these sectors.

In-person workshops and online biometrics courses
The Institute offers a number of ad-hoc topical workshops. These are either scheduled alongside conferences, delivered online or in-class. Contact us for more information to discuss your training requirements.
Please also note the Biometrics Essentials learning tool we released in early 2023. You can access this tool only anytime and anywhere.
The training was an excellent overview of biometrics. All topics were relevant and well presented and the course provided useful background materials.
