Events at the Biometrics Institute are where the brightest minds and honest voices come together for open and respectful conversation. A place where delegates challenge assumptions, share perspectives without judgement, and forge connections in a trusted environment.
Building trust together
The Biometrics Institute’s Statement of Trusted Conversations lays the groundwork for open and honest communication, and foundation for meaningful dialogue at every event.
Off the record: To encourage open and honest discussion, we operate under the Chatham House Rule to protect the anonymity of participants, and media are not in attendance. All forms of personal audio or video recording, live broadcasting, and automatic AI transcription by any participant or speaker are prohibited. No speaker, attendee, or participant may capture, broadcast, or distribute audio or video recordings of the event – including their own remarks. Unauthorised distribution of live event media constitutes a material breach of this statement and our event Code of Conduct. Information may be shared or used following the event only in strict adherence to the Chatham House Rule.
Vetted participation: Registration is essential and we verify eligibility before accepting interest and granting individuals and organisations access to attend in-person or online events and workshops.
Authorised admission: Personalised badges are required for admission at all in-person events and workshops, while online events require a unique link and password.
Impartiality: We provide an independent and unbiased platform for open and trusted conversations and welcome all viewpoints to offer balanced discussions among our diverse membership.
Protecting confidentiality: To maintain the confidentiality of discussions, publications on social media regarding the event are monitored for adherence to Chatham House Rule.
