Biometrics Guru LLC comprises 32 years of systems and software engineering expertise with more than half that focused on biometric applications, studies, evaluations, and standards. Our Subject Matter Expertise comprises all large-scale U.S. Federal biometric identification systems, as well as the interoperability thereof, including, but not limited to, FBI Next Generation Identification (NGI), DHS Automated Biometric Identification System (IDENT) and Homeland Advanced Recognition Technology (HART), DoD Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS) and Near Real Time Identity Operations (NRTIO), and the Department of State ABIS. Biometrics Guru LLC provides expert engineering support to assess and oversee the technical design, development, implementation, testing, and sustainment of biometric systems.

Our Subject Matter Expertise spans 20 years in the development, adoption, and maintenance of identity management, biometric, forensic, and other technical standards. Our skill at leading groups to the consensus needed to make meaningful contributions to the advancement of a task, project, or program has been recognized by the InterNational Committee for Information Technology Standards (INCITS). Biometrics Guru LLC is a recognized member of the biometric and forensic standards development community, having served as Deputy Editor of ANSI/NIST-ITL 1-2011, NIST Special Publication 500-290 Data Format for the Interchange of Fingerprint, Facial & Other Biometric Information and as the inaugural chair of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS) Standards Board (ASB) Friction Ridge Consensus Body, of which we remain an active member. Other memberships include the Organization of Scientific Area Committees (OSAC) Facial Identification (FI) Subcommittee and the Facial Identification Scientific Working Group (FISWG).
