In 2019, we first signed formal agreements with a number of international organisations, granting them observer status. In 2024, we expanded the Observer status to governments of low-income regions to create even greater inclusion.

This enables organisations like the United Nations and European institutions to benefit from the work we do and for us to collaborate with them in reaching new regions and groups.  In 2017 we began our ongoing work with the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Executive Directorate (UNCTED) and the Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) to create a compendium for the responsible use of biometrics to counter terrorism, and we look forward to new partnerships with our other observers in the future.
